How to play Woodland Sudoku
- Fill every empty cell so each row, each column and each 3×3 box contains the numbers 1 to 9 exactly once
- Select an empty cell with the mouse or a tap, then choose a number from the 1–9 pad; on desktop you can also press the number keys and move the selection with the arrow keys
- Switch on Notes (or press N) to pencil in small candidate numbers before you commit to an answer; Auto Notes clears a candidate from the row, column and box once you confirm a value
- Use Erase (Backspace or Delete) to clear the selected cell and Undo (Ctrl/Cmd + Z) to take back your last number, note, erase or hint
- Spend a Leaf Hint (or press H) to reveal one correct number when a board has you stuck — three per puzzle, or unlimited in Zen Mode
- Pick Relaxed, Classic or Pure mistake checking in Settings: Relaxed gently marks a wrong number, Classic counts it against you, and Pure gives no correctness feedback until the board is full
- Choose Seedling, Meadow, Woodland, Elderwood or Moonlight difficulty, play the shared Daily Woodland challenge, or open Zen Mode for a hidden timer and unlimited hints
- Finish puzzles to earn Acorns, unlock cottage decorations, welcome woodland visitors and build your solving statistics, best times and Daily streak

What are the five difficulty levels?
Seedling is Very Easy, Meadow is Easy, Woodland is Medium, Elderwood is Hard and Moonlight is Expert. Higher difficulties start with fewer given clues.
What is the Daily Woodland challenge?
Daily Woodland is a Medium-tier puzzle chosen from the same daily seed for everyone, so you and every other player solve the same board. Completing it extends your Daily streak and unlocks a shareable result.
Can I play Woodland Sudoku on mobile?
Yes. The board, number pad, Notes, Erase, Undo and Leaf Hint controls are all touch-friendly and the layout is tuned for phone, tablet and desktop screens.
Does Woodland Sudoku save my progress?
